Regarding PvP on Nova

Hey everyone, I know that some people (myself included) would like to see additional Player Vs. Player options on Nova! Feel free to offer new opinions on the topic!

Personally, I'd like to see PvP in the regular world.

It would give people another reason to explore the world/the different towns.

How about opitional pvp?

I'd suggest optional pvp or a pvp arena.

I would say we could maybe have pvp on in the resource world. I would vote strong against having pvp in the regular world. All it does is just cause problems. People will start complaining that they died and lost their stuff. You'll get the occasional dick that just kills you over and over again.

Also, did you know we have pvp arena in the events world? Just type /warhub. We also have spleef there.

The warhub isn't working right It wont let you break blocks or exit doors

It's easy, you can't get killed in your own claimed land, rest of the area is free game.

Honestly, I think this server is fine as it is with PvE. If we were to have PvP I would say only have in maybe the resource world or an organized arena. I say we try to improve the event world, maybe let some of the normal players help create warzones, etc.

I think PvP will bring excitement and a bit of danger, that way getting that good gear is even more important and it should be there in the overworld to I think.

Well I definitely think that PvP should be in the resource world, so players can decide if they want to risk fighting or not, as NOT traveling to the resource world will not impair your gameplay in any way. PvP in the regular world is also a decent option, but carries more danger. But I believe danger makes gameplay more exciting, so I wouldn't mind regular world pvp, provided people could make their own "safe zones"

Alright, let's talk about PvP. I see we've had a few suggestions in here regarding PvP on the main world. While I understand why these ideas may be enticing, I'd like to remind everyone that the current phase the server is going through is one to try to support the construction of towns, roads, and infrastructure in order to foster further constructive, cooperative and economic growth.

The problem I see with allowing PvP on the main world is that it may directly combat what we're currently trying to do. Transport commands were taken away to bring people away from their bases and closer together, but I feel as though allowing PvP in the main world would directly call for the re-establishment of the base system in the stead of what would be the bustling community we're trying to build.

All of this said, I'm definitely interested in hearing more opinions as well as some more ideas on the subject. Some things I'm fairly open to consider are PvP flags and perhaps arenas in towns. Keep throwing ideas at me, but please do consider what we're trying to build at the moment.

About the teleport commands, please allow one /home to be set. Please?
